HELENA'S HOT TIPS FOR BAGGING A BARGAIN

Actress Helena Bonham Carter (the voice of the love interest in the new Wallace and Gromit film) says: "I have a great mantra for shopping. It's an acronym - Halt - which stands for hungry, angry, lonely, tired. If you're feeling any of those, you should not go shopping; simple as that. I think it's always worth walking away from something and having a think. If it stays in your mind, then it's probably right for you, so go for it."

Best bargain: "It's yet to happen."

Worst buy: "That honour would have to go to my mother. She's addicted to sales. She once bought my brother a pair of jeans because they cost 20p, but they didn't fit."
